Larry “LEGEND”- He is probably the player that is hardest to compare because of his COMPLETE DOMINANCE against the best teams and players, yet he had NO athletic ability!!! The only player that I can mention without it being a HUGE insult to Bird is KD. I will tell you why. Larry shot around 50/40/90 every year, while averaging over 10 REB 5AST 1.5ST and 25ppg every year. The difference between Larry and KD is Bird made all his teammates BETTER because of his PASSING, LEADERSHIP, EFFORT, and LOVE of the game (not to mention he was top 3 all time in taking the last shot to win the game), while KD has every advantage in every way, but just doesn't have that KILLER gene. Just watch the video of Miller hitting the 3pt shot on M.J. and the Bulls, while limping around the halfcourt line, and Bird (the coach) looking like it was the 1st quarter of the preseason. If I'm not mistaken, the announcer calling the game said “Bird has ICE WATER in his veins” while the T.V. cameras focused SOLELY on Larry Legend, even though Reggie hit the biggest shot against MJ in his career!!! Remember, the Bulls hit every big shot and won every big game since the Bulls became a contender. Ironically, MJ retired the following year, and he never played again!
