Am I allowed to carry a samurai sword?

First a samurai's long sword is called a katana sword. As a student of the fighting arts I have actually had the privilege of handling them and some rudimentary training. They are in the hands of a person trained in their use a fearsome weapon. But you need to be within striking range and have room to wield it.

As for carring one legally that would depend on where you live. One thing is for sure you would attract a lot of attention.
