Pretty sure the North collectively shreds him to pieces: he trusted Sansa enough to handle the North in his absence, she is the Head of House Stark. She has shown herself a capable representative of the Nothern lords and Jon failed very strongly in that regard. (Yes, Daenerys and her armies were important in defeating the AotD, but bending the knee is not an alliance. That’s subjugation. He effectively gave away their independence to a person they neither know or trust.)
Arya and Bran may rip him a new one as well.

In Game of Thrones, they chose to keep Arya off-screen for a long time in the lead-up, focus on Jon, create a sense of all is lost, which was profound and effective, and then kaboom Arya pulls of Mission Impossible. It was a weird combination of both thrilling and somehow Arya Stark Not today Game Of Thrones shirt. I think if the underdog pulls off the mission impossible without the proper lead up then it feels a little ‘contrived’ a little like we feel like we’ve been cheated by a magic trick where the magician has had us watching the left hadn't while he pulls off the trick with his right.

I think these plots work best when you’re “along for the ride” with the underdog, you see the odds they’re up against, you fear for them every step of the way and then their final success doesn’t feel sudden or unearned because we’ve followed every step with them. There’s less of a ‘sugar hit’ of the great unexpected victory when everything feels lost, the but-but result is more fulfilling for the audience.

It also rendered much of what we have seen pointless. Take a small thing for instance- the dragon glass. They made a huge point of getting the dragon glass AND making the weapons, but they were never shown as having any huge effect on the battle one way or the other. (the exception being Arya’s weapon was effective, but that was mainly done to her speed and style.) Hell Arya killed NK with the valerian dagger she ALREADY had!
