My little boy was attacked by a pitbull off leash and suffered significant damage to his body and neck throat area. had to go for emergency surgery for the puncture holes in his throat he's home now resting. Not if the pitbull is socialized at an early age and good training then they wont be aggressive at all!! In my experience, when food is declared Free of something, it is rendered . . . to put it politely . . . bloody awful. I fully understand the healthy diet arguments and, by and large, ignore them. I was a war baby and, as I grew up, meat was considered good for you. Mince was mince, sausages were sausages and a steak pie contained steak. Quorn (whatever it really is) was unheard of. You did not get Quorn mince, quorn sausages and so on. If a meat dish was placed in front of you, you knew you were eating good quality British meat. Quorn, for God’s sake! Never!

Now, I respect vegetarians but I could never become one. Sitting down to a meal that resembles an aerial view of a bloody rain forest does not engage my saliva glands. My daughter, though not vegetarian, disagrees with me. She is married with two small children and advocates (and sticks rigidly to) three meat free dinners every week. If I am there for dinner it is never on a meat free evening. My wife has also caught onto the meat free dinner thing. I don’t mind pasta but insist that fish must be considered meat free on one of the meat free evenings.What I think I am trying to say is: food is one of our great pleasures in life. Why put it in a bloody straitjacket?To return, somewhat belatedly, to the original question: ‘Do you like gluten free Pizza?’ My answer? I will never know because I will never try it.’I expect hostile replies from people who are far more sensible than me and I will respect the views expressed. Anything you want to do is possible as long as you want it enough and you are willing to work for it as well as make sacrifices for it. I’ve heard a few folks on Quora express concern about one having as many as four pets. However, I use a motorized wheelchair and I have four dogs (five until I lost one back in December 2020) which I take care of myself. Why does it work? It works because I love animals and I want my fur babies enough to make sacrifices for them where needed. Traveling with them is difficult, especially during this time of Covid, but not entirely impossible. I do tend to stay at home more having the number of pets that I do, but that is not a problem for me because I love my dogs even more than I love to travel at this point in my life. I believe you know in your heart how many furry babies you can afford to keep and extend your love to so I would say to let that guide your decisions in what you do. Hopefully, once a majority of people are vaccinated against Covid-19, restrictions in various countries throughout the world will ease and make life easier for you in your career a well. Being alone makes having the company and emotional support that pets give you all the more important Mine have helped tremendously in getting me through the tough times as well as the good ones. I would just be sure with the career to allow adequate time to care for your pets and show them the love they give you in return.

I think that largely depend on how well you care for it and where you get it. I believe it’s cruel and unethical to keep a wild snake as a pet, since they will be in a constant state of fear (especially if you try to handle them). If you simply put a snake in a box/tank where it can never fully stretch out (like keeping an adult ball python or corn snake in a 20 gallon tank for example) then it can be cruel to keep a snake like that. Same with the tiny rack systems many breeders use (though it is possible to use properly sized racks). Housing most snake species (except garter snakes for example) together is also cruel, since the vast majority of snake species (and reptile in general) are solitary and will be stressed when they are forced to be in close proximity with another snake. The people doing this are typically the same people who keep their snakes in an enclosure that would be unsuitable for a single snake as well. I don’t personally think it’s cruel to have a pet snake if you get it from a rescue or ethical breeder (not Petco or Petsmart) and give it a properly sized enclosure with lots of hiding and climbing enrichment. The people who think they can just grab a snake and plop it into an tiny box with only a water dish and a single hide should not be keeping snakes (or really any animals) in my opinion, and I wish this wasn’t so common, since it gives a bad name to all of the keepers that actually work hard to give their snakes good lives. The enclosure should look like a jungle (except for maybe something like a sand boa), and there should be lots of things to climb on and explore for arboreal or semi-arboreal species.

To address another aspect of your question, snakes (especially those commonly kept as pets) are pretty simple cognitively speaking, so I don’t really think that’s as much of an issue. As long as all of their needs are met (some secure places to hide, a thermal gradient, water to drink, branches to climb and rodents to eat) most are as “happy” as they can be. Snakes operate on instinct, so as long as they have no need to be afraid they don’t have much else to worry about. One caveat to my answer is that I personally think it is wrong to keep a snake like the Eastern Indigo snake as a pet, since they travel huge distances in the wild (up to 13 mile territories), and are quite intelligent. I don’t really think it would be feasible to provide them with the space they need to thrive (though they are one of my favorite snakes and I would love to have one if this weren’t the case).

We have a pug and a new basset hound puppy—-we got both from local breeders—-we particularly wanted to have these two breeds. I looked for them in many rescue shelters but the restrictions and requirements were so stringent and there was so much competition for the dogs pictured that we couldn’t find these particular breeds over quite a period of time. Most places require that you have a fenced yard, etc. and the application process was long and very selective. We were more than willing and able to walk the dogs on leash and have a sizable yard and are more than able to provide great care for dogs. Finally we searched for local breeders and lucked out. Both parties love dogs and supplement their income by bringing sweet puppies into many deserving and welcoming homes once or twice a year. We had no interest in having show dogs with pedigrees—we just felt these two breeds would be good for us. I think it does a disservice to discount decent breeders as a vehicle for finding a pet. We are seniors and felt that we would do best with puppies we raise ourselves. My best dog ever as a child was a rescue dog and I’ve had several others who were good dogs. There are many dogs in need of a good home regardless of where they come from. Decent small breeders want to share the wealth of their precious dogs with others and supplement their incomes and contribute substantially to the quality of many human and canine lives.
