Thanks for the A2A. I have had both hamsters and mice. I had one mouse, Spot, who I raised from a pup. He was a beautiful dove gray, and I was particularly fond of him because he stood out. Most of my mice were white, and near impossible to tell alarm. I spent a lot of time taming him. I discovered that he was particularly fond of one part of the food I fed him. I started offering these to him. He quickly learned to accept them from me, and then became more and more tame. Soon, he would climb in my hand. Then he learned to get on top of his little house if he wanted to be picked up. He would climb on top, and look at me expectantly. I would put my hand next to him, and he would hope on, and start “grooming” me. He loved to chatter in my ear. If I was too busy when he wanted me, he would run back and forth and then glare at me. Yes, mice can glare. I put a lot of effort into bonding with him, and was crushed when he died. But, mice can be incredible pets, and loving friends.

I have rescued a number of deer mice whom my cats have brought in. I typically treat them immediately with a homeopathic remedy to help them recover in the event that they sustained an injury, such as a puncture wound that I didn’t see. Most of them recover and I release them. However, there have been some who had injuries that I didn’t see and didn’t treat, and they went to Heaven. 💔It is entirely possible that this little one had an injury, probably a puncture wound, that you didn’t notice. I’m from southwest Florida, the area between Sarasota and Ft. Myers, and inland as far as Arcadia. Here are the top three places I would check out the birding (although I myself don’t bird, I did shoot lots of bird pictures at these locations!):Telegraph Swamp, the cypress swamp in Babcock Ranch, the part they still run cattle on, not the new, supposedly enviro-friendly community. Visit in the summer, when the area is flooded and looks like the set for Jurassic Park! And bring some galoshes. Oh yes, while you’re watching the birds, do watch out for the alligators! The Venice Rookery is very small, basically a little island of wilderness in a sea of suburbia, but you can see great blue herons and anhingas there. Be prepared to be elbow to elbow with photographers shooting with $10,000 worth of glass on their tripods!

Finally, there is J. N. “Ding” Darling National Wildlife Refuge, which receives tons of colorful migrating birds in the winter months and is pretty much vacant, except for the year-round residents, the rest of the year. (I wouldn’t kid you, that’s the real name! He was a local cartoonist long ago, who fought the reckless development of Florida’s precious wetlands.) Trump was only interested in people who are 100% loyal to him from the very first day he became President… the only difference now is that he openly admits that he wants those Republicans who are in his pocket! The Republican Party is so lacking in the integrity and backbone they no longer represent the people who voted for them… the few senators who voted to impeach him knew they were going to be out! They at least had the courage to vote honestly… At this point I don’t believe they will be able to ever return to the Republican Party we once had in the past… the only way to prevent Trump from taking over the world is to hold him accountable… do you see anyone, ANYONE, who can do that? The only way I can see is to continue to put more Democrats in senate seats and wake up the country for once! That’s why I changed my affiliation and now I am registered as Independent to try and get a Congress that will work together!

Genetic human aggression is present in the breed however it is fairly uncommon. There are breeds that are much more aggressive than pit bulls such as certain mastiff and livestock guardian breeds. As with those breeds, a properly managed pit bull can be kept safely as long as the owner knows what they’re doing and takes measures to minimize the aggression of their dog.
