Thor was worthy enough to use the INFINITY GAUNTLET. But as we could see in EndGame, he was not at his best and was very weak as Compared to Thor in Infinity War. As you know, to use Infinity Gauntlet it needs one to resist the power of the Six Infinity stones.

Also we know that though Tony Stark a.k.a Iron Man made it the best anyone can make on Earth or any other place in the Universe.

But the gauntlet in Infinity war was made of URU metal which is specialised in storing the powers of Infinity Stones or any other heavenly things like Thunder in case of Thor's Hammer. This gave Thanos advantage over the Gauntlet which Tony Stark made in Avengers Endgame.

Lastly….. had Thor been at his best, he could have easily done the Snap getting least damaged but beer had made him weak.
