I need more info here! I’ll do my best with what I have. First of all, rehoming a cat is never a great idea. There are situations where it has had to happen but it should be avoided if at all possible. Cats are living beings with deep emotions. They form bonds to their humans and consider them to be part of their family. When a cat is rehomed, it can be really tough on them. They don’t understand where you went and can develop stress, anxiety and even behavior problems. I don’t know why you feel the need to re-home so I’m not judging … just giving some info. Is there something we can do to make the kitty happier? Next, I don’t know how old you are. If you are ten yrs old, for example, there is not much you can do to take the lead. So, assuming you have no income of your own, can you talk to your dad and ask what you can do to help make a vet visit happen? Are there chores you can do to help work off some of the cost? What is behind his decision not to take kitty to the vet? Kitties do best INSIDE! An outside cat will have more health issues and usually a shorter life span. Is there a reason your Dad lets kitty outside? Can it be discussed? Dad doesn’t want to risk the cat getting hurt by a car, animal or mean person so maybe that will help him keep the cat inside?
