Why are people obsessed with pumpkin flavors?

To each his own. I love the taste of pumpkin pie and pumpkin spiced lattes. Moreover, I also noticed a lot of stores only release the pumpkin flavors during a limited time per year (usually Fall) so there creates an “obsession” to get these items before they run out
