Many times the audience comes across Pokémon Meowth (member of the Rocket Squad) who conflicts with Pikachu when these two characters meet on the screen. One way or another, Meowth always gives up his plan so that the Rocket Company can catch the new Pikachu. Perhaps, Meowth is the "smeared" Pokémon in the film because time after time is blown away with the two Fire Rocket members when the mission to steal other Pokémon fails.
