Cow’s milk, whether it be powdered or liquid is bad for both humans and especially cats! You can buy formula for kittens sold at pet stores that will meet the requirement. Another option would be to try your cat on Soy milk (vanilla flavored, French Vanilla is better if you can get it anywhere). I had a situation similar where my cat had trouble eating and I invested a lot into buying him Gerber’s baby food meats. Suggest getting baby food squash or pumpkin as well to give an added push for your cat’s bowels and mix a LITTLE into the baby food meat. Another thing that I did was to get some really nice FRESH catnip plants. My mother sent me some from her garden and my cat went absolutely crazy over eating it. The catnip will assist your cat’s smelling senses to get his appetite to improve. It helps with the bowels, too.The other alternative (and it’s a good one for most people) is to work with a poodle rescue organization in your area. They also screen and can provide (most of the time) support you may need. I have one purebred dog who is a rescue (probably a puppy mill dog) and one who is from an AKC Breeder of Merit. I can tell you that you should be prepared when you rescue a dog to invest in their health at a far greater cost than a well bred dog. Or at least that has been our experience. My point isn’t that one is better than the other. The cost of a well bred dog is higher but probably evens out when you deal with health issues in rescues. It’s up to you to decide what you want. We keep a foot in both worlds. I despise pet stores that sell puppies and I also despise puppy mills. I simply refuse to lump good breeders into those categories.
