Reminds me of a story about a little kid, he was maybe 6 or 7, who got caught stealing diapers. Christmas It’s Hallmark Movie Season And I’m Watching Them All Shir. It was obvious he was stealing them because they were creating a bulge in his shirt. When the manager on duty asked him why he did it, he said that he had a neighbor who couldn’t afford diapers for her baby and he was just trying to help. It was so sad hearing the story, but also so sweet. And I think they let him go because he was so young. He just wanted to help out a friend. And it was around the holidays as well. I think this is a great episode. Very relevant in Canada right now. We just rewrote the assisted suicide law with very narrow criteria. This episode correctly makes the point that interminable suffering can exist in ways that aren’t necessarily easy to understand. I also enjoyed the dedication and thoroughness Tuvok put into his role as Q’s advocate. I thought it was the best of Star Trek to have an officer argue against his own personal opinion because he believed in Q’s right to be fairly represented. He reminded me of Riker in Measure of a Man a little bit.

This is one of the few Voyager episodes that I rewatch. Christmas It’s Hallmark Movie Season And I’m Watching Them All Shir. The premise, the performances, a taste of the Alpha Quadrant, the crew of Voyager with multiple Q. I’ve always liked “Deathwish”. Utter hooey! Nothing wrong with that episode whatsoever. Bit cheesy and not enough pew pew pew for some people’s tastes may be. I can understand why people love this episode, but it didn’t do that much for me. One thing I actively disliked was the depiction of the Q continuum. It’s really something that shouldn’t be depicted at all, and the way Voyager approached it always felt really lazy and obvious. Of course, The Q and the Grey was the worst example of this, but Death Wish originated it.

If they want to talk about disappointing episodes of Voyager they should mention Repression. Christmas It’s Hallmark Movie Season And I’m Watching Them All Shir. Not because it was bad but because it wasn’t a double episode. Janeway and the crew are in the brig, the Maquis have all been brainwashed and are about to drop them off on an M class planet and then… it’s all over. Wheres the link to the article? Also, I can see shy some people would dislike those episodes, but I don’t think they are the worst of Trek. IMO the only thing wrong with “Preemptive Strike” was that was the last time we see Ro.  Though, to be fair the disappointment in her character arc wasn’t as bad as the character arcs in Voyager. Some of them stalled or were lackluster. For example, Chakotay was practically forgotten and Ensign Kim was still the same Ensign since the beginning of the show. Honestly, though Kira was a better character than Ro. I’m sure Ro would have grown on DS9 as Worf did, but I’m totally happy with how it all played out with Kira.
