Totally this for me too, except I had to be the little adult around a bunch of emotionally immature/mentally unstable adults who happened to act like children That coupled with no privacy, everyone controlling me and expecting me to ‘be a kid, but like other kids’ (a.k.a the way they think I should be versus who I am) and a little adult at the same time made the whole experience miserable. (Of course not counting shitty teachers, even shittier peers and the whole pains school brings lol). Reclaiming life is so empowering. It’s why I’m in no rush to let others take it away and fit up for me.

Discover yourself as a person before you start making more. I agree. I’ve known people who dropped out of school just so. They can get pregnant by their ‘dream’ man and they’re all single, bitter and raising their kids by themselves. I mean to each their own and not to judge their experience, but at the same time. I feel bad they never got to experience the freedom to even discover themselves. Or even love themselves, they felt so attached to this illusion that their guy of choice was ‘the one’ and having their babies would make their lives all better and spoiler alert- it totally didn’t. I may not have kids but I’ve certainly seen a lot of people in dead ends because of their choice to have them before they’re ready (or picking the shittiest person to have their kids with).

I’m not against people having kids if that’s what they want, but it’s so much better for them, their future children, and society as a whole if they grow as an adult and have their shit together before having kids. “dream man” my left asscheek. But in their minds, they think that guy is ‘the one’, at least at the time. A lot of times its underlying issues (broken homes, wanting to have the family unit they didn’t get, no goals). Or the tunnel vision that comes. They THINK they’re doing the mature thing and will have this fantasy happy ever after because. They’re not aware of the reality that it’s far from it.
